Ringa Support

Ringa is a habit tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. Check off a day and the streak grows; miss one and you can see where it broke. Nothing is sent anywhere: your data stays on the device and, if iCloud is on, in your own private database.

Common questions

How do I check off a past day?

Open the habit and tap the day in the history grid. Tapping again removes the check-in. Future days cannot be checked off.

What is a pause, and how is it different from missing a day?

Press and hold a day to pause it: it counts as neither done nor missed, and the streak stays intact. It is meant for holidays, illness and other days the habit was never planned for. For an "N times a week" goal the whole week is paused — there the count over the week matters, not a particular day.

Why did a habit disappear from Today?

Either it is done, or it has a weekday schedule and today is not one of its days, or it is a weekly goal that is already met. The habit is still there in the full list, with its history untouched.

How does checking off from Health work?

If a habit has a goal — 10,000 steps, for example — the app reads today's value from Health and checks the habit off once the goal is reached. It only reads, and only on the device. It never removes a check-in: only you can do that.

Reminders do not arrive.

Check Settings → Notifications → Ringa: permission may have been denied or revoked. Reminders are local and need no internet connection.

My iPhone and Apple Watch show different data.

Syncing goes through iCloud and can lag by a few minutes. Make sure both devices use the same Apple ID and have iCloud turned on.

How do I delete my data?

A habit and its history: open it and choose Delete habit. All local data: delete the app. The iCloud copy: Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage → Ringa.

What happens to the history when I archive a habit?

Nothing. Archiving hides the habit from the list and silences its reminders; the history is kept and comes back with the habit.

Privacy

In short: the app collects nothing about you, and it has no servers, no analytics and no ads. The details are in the privacy policy.
